         Pre-Tournament Events

Coach's Meeting - ONLY ONE COACH PER TEAM
Home Run Cafe inside Knight's Stadium-
July 14th, 2008
10:00 a.m.

One representative from each team will be permitted to attend this meeting. All teams will be required to have a representative in attendance. The official schedule for when teams play will be distributed at that time. Required at this meeting will be the Official Roster for your team.

All pre-ordered souvenir items will be available for pick-up at the Charlotte Knight's stadium during the coaches meetings or at the Opening Ceremony event.

Team Skills Competition
Time & Location will be announced at coach's check in.

OPENING CEREMONIES AND PARADE OF TEAMS
Charlotte Knight's Stadium
July 14th, 2008
The park will open at 4:30 p.m. with the parade of teams beginning at 5:30.  All teams will participate and should be in full uniform.  We encourage all teams to bring a banner for the parade.

There will be an all-you-can-eat buffet provided at the Knight's Stadium immediately following the parade of teams.  The buffet will be available from 6:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.   Tickets may be ordered in advance.  Click here to order buffet passes!

Bring your bathing suits!
During Opening Ceremonies, we will have lots of fun games and inflatable activities for the players and their families to participate in.  We will have a Dunk Tank, Slip 'N Slide, Wet 'N Wild Wave Slide, Gladiator Joust, Gyroscope, and a Rock Climbing Wall! 

You won't want to miss this special event marked to start your 2008 World Series!

 


Note:
Pin Trading has become a tradition at USSSA World Series events, players will have an opportunity to trade pins during the skills competition and social prior to the opening ceremony. Team pins are not mandatory but certainly adds to the fun of this special event. We encourage each team to bring some small item to trade. We suggest that you contact your local Chamber of Commerce, Visitors Bureaus or other community businesses in your area about obtaining items to trade.

No food or drinks are allowed to be brought in park. Water & Cups will be provided in each dugout. Only small ice chest with rags and Team coolers (1) per dugout allowed.

                                              Admission

Admission during the tournament will be $7.00 per person per day or $25.00 for a tournament pass (ONLY available in preorders). For children (6-12) the charge will be $5.00 or $20.00 for a tournament pass. This charge includes everyone except players and team coaches. A maximum of 3 player/coach passes will be issued.

B. Individual awards to the first - fourth place teams
C. Consolation, champion and runner-up team award
D. Individual awards to first and second place consolation teams
