NC USSSA BASEBALL TIE-BREAKER RULES
The following rules will determine which teams will advance out of their pools
1. WIN-LOSS RECORD
2. HEAD TO HEAD
3. FEWEST RUNS ALLOWED
4. HIGHEST RUN DIFFERENTIAL– Determined by taking total runs scored minus total runs allowed. The maximum run differential per game is +8 or –8.
5. USSSA Points
6. Coin Flip
A.R.1 - The score of the game at the time of a forfeit, if the losing team
forfeits, shall be the score of record for purposes of this rule.
A.R.2 - If the winning team forfeits, the score the score of record shall be 1
run per inning for that game in favor of losing team. If in a 6 inning game
score will be 6-0. If in a 7 inning game score will be 7-0.
A.R.3 - When three or more teams are tied fewest runs allowed in all pool play
games will be used in determining all 3 places. If there is still a 3 way tie
highest run differential shall be used to determine who shall advance.
A.R.4 – If when a 3 way tie is broken 2 teams are still tied with runs allowed go to highest run differential in all games, if still tied use USSSA Points, if this is a tie go to a coin flip.
